Job summary

The Ecumenical/Interfaith Coordinator serves as a Peer Ministry Intern within University Mission and Ministry to articulate the mission through prayer, worship, outreach, faith development, and pastoral care. The intern reports to the Ecumenical Interfaith Chaplain.

This part-time on-campus role involves planning programs, dialogue with faith leaders, newsletters, and content creation, and collaborating with Faith Formation, Music Ministry, Media Ministry, and Liturgy/Worship while mentoring

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong leadership skills and ability to organize events and programs.
• Formation and active participation in one’s faith tradition with openness to others.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and cultures on campus.
• Adherence to university rules and NCAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in planning ecumenical/interfaith programs.
• Establish dialogue with faith leaders within UIW and surrounding communities.
• Contribute to policy education and dialogue for the UIW community.
• Serve as liaison between the UIW Interfaith Council and the Interfaith Student Association.
• Promote culture and diversity on campus through programs and activities.
• Provide resources for cultural, ethnic, and faith-based groups on campus.
• Develop newsletters and webpage content for the Interfaith Council.
• Maintain a positive, inviting atmosphere and campus environment for all.
• Meet with the Ecumenical Interfaith Chaplain for updates and mentorship.
• Collaborate with Faith Formation, Music Ministry, Media Ministry, and Liturgy/Worship.
• Attend area/divisional formation sessions; perform other duties as assigned.
