Job summary

InterVarsity is seeking a role to lead college campus ministry with students and faculty. The position focuses on pursuing spiritual growth, community building, and leadership development across diverse campus groups.

The role includes directing ministry plans, coordinating with staff and volunteers, and meeting fundraising targets to sustain programming and outcomes. Travel to on-campus sites and conferences is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for four-year campus assignments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheets

Responsibilities

• Pursue spiritual growth through Scripture, prayer, worship, and self-leadership
• Grow witnessing communities of students and faculty
• Model InterVarsity’s vision and core values, including commitment to diverse ethnic and social groups
• Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship
• Set annual goals with teams for growth, conversions, and leadership development
• Create and manage ministry plans, programs, teams, and structures to achieve goals
• Build leadership teams demonstrating spiritual vitality, relational health, and mission alignment
• Mobilize students and faculty to engage their networks with the gospel and start new missional communities
• Supervise Ministry Interns as delegated by the Area Director
• Develop diverse groups of students and faculty to encounter and follow Jesus and advance the campus mission
• Equipping students and faculty to think strategically about campus engagement and proclaim the good news of Jesus
• Discipling students and faculty to grow in Christlikeness and ministry skills
• Inviting, coaching, and equipping students and faculty to become effective participants and leaders
• Collaborating with local, area, regional, and national InterVarsity staff and volunteers to maintain biblical standards of excellence and partnership
• Partnering with supervisors and national leaders, contributing to team meetings and relationships
• Using national ministry resources and participating in conferences as required
• Completing reporting, planning, and review requirements timely
• Developing ministry partnership teams of churches, individuals, alumni, and community members to resource the ministry financially, in prayer, and volunteer service
• Raising 100% of the assigned financial budget
• Communicating regularly with ministry partners through visits, calls, emails, and prayer letters
• Identifying and investing in advocates to build volunteer and donor networks
• Complying with all InterVarsity policies and procedures
