AON Central Services, LLC seeks an Interface Analyst to manage and oversee interface development processes ensuring integration across healthcare systems. The role requires knowledge of HL7 and solid communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. The Interface Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing the interface development process and ensuring seamless integration between different systems and platforms. Good written and oral communication skills. Develop, map, transform, and customize HL7 interfaces. Support configuration of APIs for EHR integration and healthcare interoperability including setting up/configuring SOAP and REST web services. Perform testing of newly developed health plan and clinical data feed interfaces and API integrations. Identify and fix any functional or performance/load issues that arise. Support deployment of interfaces from development, QA, staging, to production. Provide day-to-day support of bi-directional Company interfaces in support of production operations activities, including reports, technical assistance, client support, and utilization reports. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as appropriate. Work with other technical resources in joint development and solutioning, debugging and defining processes, and procedures to increase proficiencies and quality.
The Interface Analyst will have knowledge in interface design and connectivity, different file formats, interface engine workflow, maintaining, and monitoring bi-directional interfaces between Enterprise systems and EHRs, certified applications, and other systems.
Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
1 – Integration Design
Lead the interface development process, from requirements gathering to implementation and testing.
Job duties including but not limited to:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into interface requirements.
Document interface specifications, including data mappings, transformation rules, and error handling procedures.
Create and maintain interfaces between AON and its vendors using HL7 protocols in the Mirth Connect interface engine.
SFTP set up for document transmission using MoveIT.
May be expected to respond to incidents, requests and perform project tasks outside of normal business hours.
2 – Development and Testing
Design and document interface specifications, including data mappings, transformation rules, and error handling procedures.
Job duties including but not limited to:
Conduct thorough testing and validation of interfaces to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.
Work directly with clients for new interface builds and existing interface modifications.
Develop new and update existing routes, filters, and data requirements.
Participate in testing of new interfaces using HL7, API or other standards with various enterprise vendors.
3 – Communications
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on interface development progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
Job duties including but not limited to:
Scheduling meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, discuss design solutions, and provide period status updates.
Assist vendors and business analysts with technical aspects of new interfaces.
Communicate project timelines, risks and issues with project team and IT managers.
4 – Reporting and Monitoring
Monitor performance and effectiveness for all integrated solutions.
Job duties including but not limited to:
Develop system diagrams for interfaces showing direction and interface type.
Create and maintain internal documentation on systems support techniques, processes, applications, etc.
Follow Change Management processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve interface issues in a timely manner, coordinating with relevant teams as needed.
Propose and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for the interface environments.

Previous Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of comparable experience in HL7.
Knowledge of FHIR and web services preferred.
Proven experience interfacing with systems including Electronic Health Records, Lab Information Systems, or Radiology Information Systems.
Experience with workflows using SFTP set up, TCP/IP, or APIs.
Experience with Mirth or other interface engines.
Basic programming knowledge (variables, functions, etc.), troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Experience in HL7 and FHIR administration with hands on knowledge in interface engines

Communication Skills: Good command of the English language. Second language is an asset but not required. Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.

Ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, strong business and political acumen, collaboration and partnerships, as well as a positive employee, physician and community relations.

Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.

Standard Core Workdays/Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required, and weekend shifts based on location hours and operational needs.
