Job summary

The Effron Center for the Study of America at Princeton University invites applications for the Anschutz Distinguished Fellowship. The Fellow will teach one interdisciplinary, three-credit undergraduate seminar for the Program in American Studies, with an enrollment cap of 15 students, in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

The appointment is in person on campus with a requirement to reside in Princeton or nearby, or be available on campus two to three days per week, and to deliver a public lecture.

Qualifications

• Candidates need not be academic scholars.
• Weight will be placed on teaching ability, rigor, innovation, and interdisciplinary emphasis of the proposed seminar.
• Fellow teaches one interdisciplinary, three credit-hour undergraduate seminar for the Program in American Studies.

Responsibilities

• Teach one interdisciplinary, three credit-hour undergraduate seminar for the Program in American Studies.
• Hold weekly office hours to meet with enrolled students.
• Contribute to campus intellectual life through events and activities.
• Deliver one public lecture to the University.
