Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking an Administrative Contracting Officer for the Resident Office to support Military and Civil Works Programs. You will manage day-to-day contract administration, direct contract modifications up to $500,000, and oversee studies for field changes including sketches and cost estimates.

You will ensure construction complies with plans and specifications through inspections and testing.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience administering construction contracts by reviewing plans and specs for compliance; monitoring projects for safety and quality.
• Experience with contract modifications, contractor payments, and providing technical guidance on construction operations.
• Education substitution not allowed; must meet education requirement as described (engineering degree and basic requirements).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day to day contract administration including all acquisition processes for the Resident Office in support of Military and Civil Works Programs.
• Serve as Administrative Contracting Officer, directing changes and negotiating contract modifications not to exceed $500,000 as authorized by the Contracting Officer.
• Direct and oversee studies for field changes and contract modifications including sketches and cost estimates; assess effects on construction schedule and data for change orders.
• Plan and recommend inspection and testing to ensure construction complies with contract plans and specs.
