Job summary

Georgia Power in Atlanta seeks a Manager, Interconnections Planning & Policy to lead end-to-end interconnection of generation assets across transmission and distribution networks. You will direct policy development, cost-effective project execution, and cross-functional collaboration with regulatory bodies and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, business, or related field.
• 10+ years in energy/utilities/infrastructure/large-scale project delivery.
• 3+ years leading people or teams.
• 2+ years leading leaders is a plus.
• Experience coordinating complex enterprise initiatives with safety implications.
• Strong understanding of transmission, distribution, grid operations, and interconnection processes.

Responsibilities

• Own generation interconnections strategy, governance, and enterprise accountability.
• Lead cross-functional alignment across Southern Company functions and external stakeholders for cradle-to-grave interconnection solutions.
• Set strategy for interconnections policy to enable compliant, timely interconnection of all generation assets.
• Coordinate with enterprise partners and external stakeholders to identify and execute opportunities to reduce delays and risk.
• Provide strategy for transmission and distribution interconnections leadership with executives informed.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and support stakeholder engagement for interconnection issues.
