Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Grid Integration & Studies Engineer in the U.S. to support interconnection from application to commissioning.

You will work within the Global Nordex Engineering Grid Integration group to advance North American projects, handling dynamic model analyses and interconnection studies to meet reliability standards. Ideal candidates have ABET‑accredited power engineering degrees, 5+ years in energy development or transmission planning, and experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical power engineering (ABET‑accredited).
• 5+ years of experience in renewable or transmission planning.
• Experience with HV and transmission system planning and interconnection processes.
• Experience with PSCAD, PSS/e, TSAT, DIgSILENT.
• Knowledge of North American ISOs interconnection requirements and NERC standards.
• Strong English; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track ISO codes and requirements related to reliability, interconnection and dynamic models.
• Assess ISO grid code compliance and advise on interfaces for interconnection processes.
• Lead conversations with project stakeholders on data, interconnection, and commissioning.
• Coordinate internal Global Engineering support for interconnection processes.
• Run dynamic model simulations and ensure model quality with PSCAD, PSS/e, TSAT, DIgSILENT.
