Job summary

East Point Energy seeks an Interconnection Execution Manager to lead interconnection strategy across the full project lifecycle—from development through commissioning to operations. You’ll act as the SME for interconnection, coordinating with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and EPC teams while managing risk, schedule, and milestones.

The ideal candidate has deep power systems experience, strong project management, and knowledge of BESS integration and NERC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years (senior) / 6+ years (manager) of interconnection execution across multiple RTOs/ISOs.
• Experience leading generator interconnection through full interconnection lifecycle in development and EPC environments.
• Experience with BESS IBR integration preferred.
• Experience with NERC compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of interconnection strategy from application through IA.
• Lead execution of interconnection requirements defined in Interconnection Agreements (IA).
• Serve as primary technical contact with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and transmission owners.
• Oversee compliance and support EPC and Asset Management with NERC and standards.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners to mitigate interconnection risks.
• Provide electrical engineering input across all project phases (design/review).
• Support equipment selection, procurement strategy, and technical evaluation.
• Assist with transmission and interconnection diligence for growth.
• Monitor regulatory developments and grid upgrades to inform strategy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
