L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manager of Interconnect Engineering in Salt Lake City, UT. This leadership role manages engineers responsible for cable, harness, and interconnect designs in ruggedized hardware across development, production, and sustainment.

The manager translates business priorities into short-term plans, aligns staffing, and ensures technically sound and manufacturable designs, while engaging in design direction, process improvements, and cross-functional problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with minimum 9 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 13 years of related experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of interconnect engineers across programs and customer commitments.
• Plan team workload, staffing, and priorities for proposals, new product development, qualification efforts, production support, and sustainment activities.
• Provide technical direction for cable and harness design, connector selection, shielding and grounding approaches, and wire/cable specification.
• Ensure designs meet system, electrical, mechanical, environmental, manufacturability, reliability, cost, and schedule requirements with clear documentation.
• Partner with systems, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, test, and programs to resolve interface issues and drive design maturity.
• Oversee drawings, models, wiring docs, BOMs, build instructions, and related artifacts for accuracy and configuration control.
