Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manager, Interconnect Engineering in Salt Lake City to lead a team responsible for cable, harness, connector, and interconnect solutions across development, production, and sustainment.

The role requires translating business priorities into operating plans, staffing to program needs, and ensuring designs are manufacturable and reliable. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 9+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree adds advantage (7+ years). In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of experience.
• Experience with cable and harness standards, qualification testing, supplier coordination, and transitioning designs to production.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of interconnect engineers across multiple programs and customer commitments.
• Plan team workload, staffing and priorities for proposals, new product development, qualification, production support, and sustainment.
• Provide technical direction for cable and harness design, connector selection, shielding and grounding approaches, and interface definitions.
• Ensure designs satisfy system, electrical, mechanical, environmental, manufacturability, reliability, cost and schedule requirements with clear documentation.
• Partner with systems, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, test, and programs to resolve interfaces and drive design maturity.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
