Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for Cable Harness in Salt Lake City. You will develop and implement manufacturing plans, coordinate new product releases with engineering teams, and optimize tooling and processes to meet design and cost targets.

The role requires strong knowledge of cable harness techniques, IPC/WHMA-A-620 class 3 workmanship, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Occasional nights/weekends may be required to meet schedules.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical, etc.) and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

Review design requirements, drawings, and parts lists for manufacturability.
Create processes to meet design and workmanship requirements.
Evaluate tooling needs and availability.
Assist Cable manufacturing’s First Time Build team in building initial unit builds and prototype cable assemblies; update processes as needed.
Review problem reports; implement corrective actions to improve processes.
