Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for the Cable Harness line on a 2nd shift (9/80 schedule). You will develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing plans, transfer tooling and systems, and coordinate with project teams to release new products to production.

Responsibilities include estimating costs, setting time standards, evaluating tooling, and driving continuous improvements. On-site work may involve security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus 4 years of relevant experience, or graduate degree with 2+ years, or 8 years in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cable manufacturing techniques and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 workmanship requirements.
• Ability to read schematics, wire lists, diagrams and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Review design requirements, drawings, and parts lists for manufacturability.
• Create processes to meet design and workmanship requirements.
• Evaluate tooling needs and availability.
• Support First Time Build teams for initial unit builds and prototype cable assemblies.
