Job summary

CFX in Ellenwood, GA seeks an Intercompany Freight & Delivery Driver to transport products, materials, and equipment between CFX facilities and customer sites. This is a full-time, on-site role with potential overnight travel between Georgia and Pennsylvania.

When not driving, you will support shop, warehouse, shipping, and production activities, operate forklifts when trained, and ensure safety and DOT compliance in all duties.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving or delivery experience.

Job Location: CFX SOUTH - ELLENWOOD, GA 30294, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: Not Specified, Travel Percentage: Road Warrior, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Transportation, CFX Products is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Intercompany Freight & Delivery Driver to transport products, materials, and equipment between CFX facilities, customers, job sites, and suppliers.

This is a dual role position. When not driving, the employee will be expected to support shop, warehouse, shipping, and production activities as needed.

The position requires local and regional travel, including overnight and multi-day trips of up to three days between our Georgia and Pennsylvania facilities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Driving & Delivery

• Safely operate company-owned 26-foot box trucks and authorized fleet vehicles.
• Transport finished goods, raw materials, equipment, and inventory.
• Perform local, regional, and interstate deliveries, including regular travel between Georgia and Pennsylvania.
• Secure freight properly and verify shipments against packing lists and shipping documents.
• Obtain delivery confirmations and communicate delays or delivery issues promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading as required.

DOT & Driver Compliance

• Maintain accurate driver logs, mileage records, fuel records, and required transportation documentation.
• Follow applicable DOT and FMCSA hours-of-service requirements.
• Comply with all required weigh-station, inspection-station, and interstate commercial vehicle requirements.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report vehicle, safety, inspection, or compliance issues immediately.

Shop & Warehouse Support

When not assigned to driving duties, the employee will be expected to:

• Assist with shipping, receiving, staging, loading, and unloading.
• Move and organize materials throughout the facility.
• Support production and warehouse activities as assigned.
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment when properly trained.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.

This is not exclusively a driving position. The employee is expected to remain productive and support shop operations when transportation work is not scheduled.

Required to follow all company Safety Rules and Procedures. (including but not limited to PPE)

Required to maintain consistent and acceptable attendance according to the assigned schedule provided by the manager as well as the Team Member Handbook.

Meet departmental goals and defined key performance indicators (KPIs).

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Required

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Basic knowledge of DOT requirements and hours-of-service rules.
• Ability and willingness to complete overnight and multi-day trips of up to three days.
• Ability to travel between Georgia and Pennsylvania as business needs require.
• Ability and willingness to perform shop and warehouse duties when not driving.
• Strong communication, organization, and reliability.

Preferred

• CDL Class A or B.
• Forklift certification.
• Interstate driving experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, building materials, or industrial distribution.
