Job summary

Truck-Right Data Management Inc in Cartersville, GA seeks a full-time CDL A driver to safely deliver and pick up fairs between branch facilities and hubs. The role requires pre-trip/post-trip inspections, trailer pairing, and accurate DOT logs.

You will work with supervisors to meet customer service standards, load/unload with or without mechanical help, and communicate route changes. A valid CDL A with air brake endorsement and at least 1 year of experience is required, along with lifting

Qualifications

• CDL A with air brake endorsement required; 40,000 miles on CDL A.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up fairs in an efficient, cost effective manner.
• Inspect and prepare fifth wheel before coupling.
• Operate Semi Tractor with trailer for line haul between facilities.
• Deliver fairs using appropriate trailer configurations.
• Couple/uncouple trailers; connect/disconnect air and brake lines; operate landing gear.
• Maintain customer service standards with supervisor guidance.
• Load and unload trucks with or without mechanical assistance.
• Communicate routing problems to supervisor for updates.
• Deliver/pick up product from schools as scheduled and courteous.
• Secure and transport products for damage-free delivery.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs, trip sheets, fuel tickets, and expenses.
• Adhere to company, local, state, and federal regulations (DOT/OSHA).
• Call office for accidents, delivery problems, or mechanical issues.
• Assist in warehouse tasks as required; overnight routes as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance; attend monthly driver meetings.
• Complete annual Certificate of Violation timely.
• Use proper lifting techniques; handle heavy objects safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Maintain truck per company standards; regular attendance.

• 1. Work with supervisor to deliver and pick-up fairs in an efficient, cost effective manner.
• 2. Inspect and prepare fifth wheel before coupling.
• 3. Utilize Semi Tractor with either single or tandem axle, manual or automatic transmission, combined with a 48' or 53' trailer to line haul fairs from branch facility to hub location.
• 4. Deliver fairs using a Semi Tractor with either single or tandem axle, manual or automatic transmission, combined with a pup trailer.
• 5. Couple and uncouple trailers safely and in a timely manner. Connect/disconnect air and brake lines, and properly operate landing gear.
• 6. Work closely with supervisor to ensure customer service standards are maintained.
• 7. Load and unload trucks with or without assistance of mechanical devices.
• 8. Effectively communicate routing problems to supervisor so changes can be communicated to the routing team (road construction, address changes, steps, etc).
• 9. Deliver and pick-up product from schools, as scheduled, in a courteous and professional manner.
• 10. Secure and transport products in order to enable customer to receive a "Damage Free" fair.
• 11. Perform a daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection of motor vehicle to which assigned. Notify supervisor of any defects or problems.
• 12. Complete and maintain accurate and legible records in a timely manner to include, but not limited to, DOT Logs, trip sheets, fuel tickets, road expenses, and other paperwork, as required.
• 13. Adhere to all Company, local, state, and federal rules/regulations inclusive of, but not limited to, DOT, OSHA, etc.
• 14. Call Regional/Branch office immediately upon the occurrence of any of the following:
  1. a) Accident or damage to person(s) or property.
  2. b) Problem with a school delivery or pick-up.
  3. c) Mechanical failure of equipment.
• 15. Assist in completing warehouse tasks as required by the supervisor.
• 16. Overnight routes as necessary.
• 17. Must maintain professional appearance including well-groomed hair, clean uniform, and hygienic habits.
• 18. Attend monthly driver meetings completing all continuous training materials as required.
• 19. Complete annual Certificate of Violation Process timely, accurately and honestly.
• 20. Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders and pushing/pulling display cases.
• 21. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• 22. Maintain truck per company standards.
• 23. Regular attendance in accordance with schedule.
• 24. Drug and alcohol free policy compliance.
• 25. Other duties as assigned.

• 1. High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• 2. Verifiable commercial driving experience of at least one (1) year required.
• 3. Minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
• 4. Possess valid CDL A license with air brake endorsement. Must possess 40,000 miles driving experience on CDL A
• 5. CDL A must be validated through recertification with an approved Driving School
• 6. Must pass a drug screen/alcohol screen, Motor Vehicle Record review, criminal background review, and a DOT physical examination indicating physical essential functions of job can be performed as required.
• 7. Must be able to drive vehicle weighing in excess of 26,001 GVW and trailers in excess of 10,000 lbs. with a total combined GVW up to 80,000 lbs.
