Job summary

Sacbar in Los Angeles is seeking a Museum Technology Supervisor to lead a team maintaining interactive exhibits and show control systems. You will diagnose malfunctions, guide rapid prototyping, and work with operations and exhibit development to iteratively update hardware and software for reliability and visitor engagement.

Ideal candidates have leadership experience, strong programming and CAD skills, and a track record in cross-disciplinary collaboration across O/S platforms and hardware

Qualifications

• Leadership experience directing creative teams in exhibit projects.
• Experience designing, building and deploying show control systems.
• Proficient with multiple OS and CAD tools for digital fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Museum Technology Specialists responsible for diagnosing malfunctions and maintaining interactive exhibits.
• Provide technical guidance, foster collaboration, and prioritize workflow to meet deliverables.
• Collaborate with Exhibitions Technology Manager to sustain functionality and preventative maintenance.
• Oversee design, installation, testing, and evaluation of exhibit technologies.
• Generate proposals to upgrade exhibits and present new content presentation methods.
• Coordinate with other departments to integrate technology with exhibit designs and enhance visitor experience.
