Job summary

First Resources Corp. is launching a new Intensive Residential Services Home (IRSH) in Ottumwa, IA, and we’re hiring multiple Intensive Support Professionals to join our team. This is a short-term, high-impact in-home program designed to help individuals stabilize and reintegrate into their communities.

The role involves assisting with medication and appointments, crisis planning, and skill-building, with two staff per shift across 12.67-hour blocks, including nights and days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in mental/behavioral health services required.
• Previous DSP experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, databases).
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Completion of required training and ongoing competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with medication and appointment compliance.
• Assist with crisis planning, behavior management, and skill-building.
• Document progress and follow PCSPs.
• Work collaboratively with a team in a structured, supportive environment.
• Promote safety, stability, and independence for each individual.

Employment Type: Full-Time (Day shift and night shift openings available)
Pay Rate: $18+/hour (based on experience)

Schedule

This is a full-time position with 2 scheduled shifts, each lasting 12.67hours. Each shift includes time for client care, documentation, and training. The available shift options are:

• Nights: 6:50pm-7:30am

• Days: 6:50am-7:30pm

Each shift is staffed with two Intensive Support Professionals to ensure a safe, collaborative, and supportive environment.

About the Program

Intensive Residential Services Home (IRSH) is a short-term, in-home rehabilitation program for adults with mental health, behavioral health, intellectual disabilities, or co-occurring conditions. The goal is to support stabilization through medication and appointment compliance, crisis planning, behavior modification, and skill-building.

Each home will serve up to four adults and be staffed with two Intensive Support Professionals per shift. The home includes office space, two company vehicles, and all necessary tools to support client success.

What You'll Do

• Ability to lift 40+ lbs
