Job summary

First Resources Corp. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Residential Services program in Oskaloosa, IA.

This part-time role supports individuals with daily living skills, personal care, and community participation, helping them achieve greater independence. You will work two shifts per week, including 8am-8pm one week and 8pm-8am sleep shifts the next, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and documentation of progress on Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and fill in as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily activities such as grocery shopping, errands, hygiene, and medication administration
• Assist with mobility needs, including two-person transfers and use of a Hoyer lift
• Help clients achieve personal goals like cooking, cleaning, and social integration
• Transport clients to appointments and community events
• Follow and document progress on Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs)
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members
