Job summary

AWARE Inc. in Anaconda, Montana is seeking an Intensive Support and Stabilization Direct Care Professional to help people with disabilities and mental health needs live the life they choose.

Responsibilities include helping with mornings, meals, transportation, and daily documentation, with a philosophy of unconditional care. Starting pay is $25.00 per hour, with weekend overnight shifts at $33.04 per hour and annual raises of 5% after year one and year two.

Qualifications

• You are 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• You have a valid driver’s license and can pass a background check.
• You can be relied on to turn up for your shift, because someone is counting on you being there.
• You are patient with people on their worst day.
• Ability to implement Individual Treatment Plans, Behavior Management Plans, Independent Living Plans, and Personal Support Plans as written.
• Competence in supporting activities of daily living (ADLs): personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility, and medication monitoring (per agency policy).

Responsibilities

• Support people with disabilities and mental health needs in living the life they choose.
• Help with morning routines, cooking, transportation to appointments or a job, and handling difficult moments.
• Document daily activities and outcomes to inform the next shift.
• Follow AWARE Inc.’s care philosophy and implement treatment and support plans.
• Crisis Intervention & Stabilization: apply safety planning and de-escalation in high-stress situations.
• Daily Living Support: assist with ADLs, personal care, hygiene, feeding, medication management.
• Documentation and Reporting: maintain confidential records of daily activities and incidents.
• Advocacy: promote individual rights and self-advocacy.
