Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking an Educational Assistant IV for the Significant Support Needs (SSN) program at Franktown Elementary. The role provides intensive support to students with significant cognitive and health needs, assisting with mobility, personal care, and life skills within a structured learning environment.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals, health monitoring, and behavior support while promoting safety and student independence.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent required.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to assist with personal care and mobility.
• Willingness to follow health plans and behavior protocols.

Responsibilities

• Health, Mobility, & Safety: assist with positioning, transfers, mobility and supervision.
• Functional & Life Skills Support: support IEP goals, daily living skills, and communication methods.
• Assist with personal care needs, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Support students across settings with accommodations and behavior strategies.
