Job summary

Potterville Public Schools is hiring an Intensive Resource Teacher to support students with individualized instruction and IEP development. The role involves direct instruction, coordination with related services, and collaboration with parents, staff, and outside agencies to help each student reach maximum potential.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher, valid MI teaching certificate, and endorsements in Special Education (LD, CI, or EI).

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based assessment, instruction and interventions that are matched to student needs using data-driven instructional decision-making, problem solving and progress monitoring through a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework to positively impact student growth and achievement.
• Determines and implements a curriculum appropriate to specific classroom assignment.
• Develops and implements an individual education plan (IEP) for each student.
• Communicates regularly with parents and home-care providers regarding each student’s progress.
• Coordinates and guides the work of the classroom instructional aides.
• Maintains student attendance records.
