Job summary

A leading non-profit organization in Burlington County, NJ seeks a Clinical Director to oversee clinical services for unaccompanied youth. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience in a relevant field.
• Experience in individual, group, and family therapy for youth.
• Must pass required medical tests and background checks.
• Complete medical testing and background checks as required by funders/licensing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the entire Clinical Department and Clinical Supervisors.
• Coordinate clinical services for all unaccompanied youth.
• Document treatment progress and compliance with regulations.
• Recruit, supervise and train therapists, case managers, and lead clinical staff.
• Lead treatment team and coordinate with disciplines to ensure safe, timely reunification.
• On-call rotation and co-therapy for specialized cases as needed.
• Liaise with ORR, immigration courts, providers and families in complex cases.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises the entire Clinical Department and supervises Clinical Supervisors
• Infuses a Nurtured Heart clinical treatment environment in all aspects of the program through modeling, training, teaching, mentoring staff.
• Ensures evidence-based trauma-informed care and interventions for each UC youth.
• Coordinates clinical services for all UC youth.
• Recruits, supervises and trains therapists, case manager, and other lead clinical staff.
• Leads treatment team and facilitates coordination between all disciplines within program ( Lead Case Manager and Clinicians) to ensure timely reunification and safe, timely and child friendly short term shelter.
• Teaches, models and trains clinical staff to ensure trauma informed therapeutic counseling within required timelines for all UAC.
• Ensures appropriate partnerships for Psychiatry and other specialty clinical services through approved ORR partners.
• Ensures systems are in placed so that reviews are completed on all treatment plans, intakes, progress and other documentation related to treatment to ensure best practice and compliance with ORR and COA regulations.
• Acts as liaison with ORR, immigration courts, service providers, family members in difficult cases.
• Addresses grievances of clients, family members, staff or other involved persons.
• Documents treatment progress to ORR and ensures compliance with ORR portal and updates notes and incidents or other involved persons.
• Models teamwork and staff appreciation with all components of the program
• Handles on-call responsibilities of administrator-on-call/ and ensures a rotating clinical case management
• Provides co-therapy on specialized situations and covers for Lead Clinicians, when indicated
• On-call rotation for 24 hours for clinical intervention for UC youth, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of Master's degree in social work or counseling Psychology with 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience;
• 2 - 5 years of experience working with the program population or relevant direct service delivery, along with experience in individual, group, and family therapy for youth and families, preferably in a residential setting.
• 5 - 7 years of experience working with the program population or relevant direct service delivery, along with experience in individual, group, and family therapy for youth and families, preferably with unaccompanied minor children in a residential setting.
• Must complete all medical testing required by funders and/or licensing or oversight bodies, including but not limited to initial and ongoing: Mantoux Tuberculosis testing which may include an X-ray and required immunizations, Must pass a physical examination
• Must complete all background checks as required by funders and/or licensing or oversight bodies
