Job summary

Center for Family Services is seeking an experienced NJ licensed clinician for the Crisis Receiving Stabilization Center, a 24-hour psychiatric crisis setting for adults in need of immediate intervention. The role focuses on safe, recovery-oriented care and collaborative planning with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a Master’s in Social Work or related field and NJ licensure, with preference for LCSW/LPC and CADC credentials.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or allied field and licensed in NJ to provide clinical services.
• 2 years of experience working with serious and persistent mentally ill population including co-occurring disorders.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• LCSW or LPC and CADC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains a wellness and recovery-oriented environment using person-centered planning, language and documentation.
• Provides direct service to CRSC consumers and families, plans for transition out of CRSC, and develops initial Crisis Plan with APRN involvement.
• Educates team members on recovery and wellness and coordinates wellness strategies across the program.
• Coordinates CRSC services with other Center for Family Services programs and community agencies.
• Apply trauma-informed care approach to consumer interactions and develop Individual Crisis Plans.

Position Summary

Center For Family Services is seeking experienced and professional NJ Licensed Clinician for the Crisis Receiving Stabilization Center. This is a24-hour psychiatric crisis center for adults experiencing a mental health crisis. The Crisis Receiving Stabilization Center provides a nurturing and supportive environment where our consumers can receive therapeutic interventions for up to 24 hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains a wellness and recovery-oriented environment by using person-centered planning, language and documentation, and by insuring that services provided promote wellness and recovery outcomes.
• Provides direct service to CRSC consumers and their family members; works with the consumer and family to plan for transition out of the CRSC; works with consumer, family, and CRSC APRN to develop an initial Crisis Plan; conveys hopefulness toward people served and their families.
• Provides education and technical assistance to team members regarding recovery and wellness; works with the team to develop relevant strategies, instilling hope, promoting choice and empowerment, and developing social and spiritual supports; serves as a resource for the team for wellness and recovery strategies.
• Ensures coordination and integration of CRSC services with other Center for Family Services programs and other community programs/agencies in a manner that benefits consumers served.
• Apply trauma informed care approach to consumer interactions.
• Develop Individual Crisis Plan with consumer.
• Monitor therapeutic environment as necessary.
• Maintain quality documentation; complete all assigned paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
• Complete incident reports according to policy in a timely, accurate manner.
• Communicate with other staff as necessary to promote quality consumer care.
• Observe and report safety, maintenance problems.
• Oversee program operations in absence of the CRSC Supervisor.
• Participate in required staff training and staff meetings as scheduled.
• Exercise sound professional judgment and seek assistance as necessary to effectively manage consumer behavior.
• Participate in Center and Program performance improvement activities
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position and in accordance with program policies, training, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Note: staff may only perform within their scope of practice.

Requirements
