Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Intensive Outpatient Program therapist to deliver direct clinical services to adults and seniors dealing with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.

You will assess, treat, plan, and discharge patients, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and provide individual and group therapies while helping families navigate care and progress toward treatment goals.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of social/work clinical practice.
• Plans and conducts group therapy as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program or physician's order.
• Conducts, assesses and interprets completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment.
• Reviews all Multidisciplinary assessments and compiles a Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan under the supervision of the attending physician.
• Performs case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program.
• Attends multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, provides updates on patient progress and integrates reports from all disciplines.
• Delivers patient services ethically, respecting patient dignity and responding to treatment in an age/disability/culturally sensitive manner.
• Assesses age/disability/cultural needs and communicates with patients and families accordingly.
• Conducts treatment and discharge planning involving the patient's support system as appropriate.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
