Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Baton Rouge is seeking an Intensive Outpatient Program therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will provide direct clinical services, including assessments, treatment planning and individual, family or group therapy for adults and seniors with anxiety, depression and other mental health issues.

Eligibility includes licensure as CSW/LMSW/LCSW or LMFT/LPC/LPC-A (TX) or Psychologist, with 0–1 year post-graduate experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold CSW/LMSW/LCSW/LMFT or LPC/LPC-A or Psychologist licensure.
• 0 to 1 year post-graduate experience in clinical practice.
• Experience providing direct clinical services and therapy.
• CPR certification and Oceans approved behavioral de-escalation training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of social/work clinical practice.
• Plan and conduct group therapy as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program or physician's order.
• Conducts, assesses and interprets completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment.
• Reviews Multidisciplinary assessments and compiles a Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan under supervision.
• Performs case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program.
• Attend multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and provide updates on patient progress toward goals.
• Deliver ethical patient care that respects dignity and fosters trust.
• Assess age/disability/cultural needs and communicate with patients and families accordingly.
• Involve support system in discharge decisions as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
