Job summary

Oceans Healthcare, L.L.C. is seeking an Outpatient Program Manager responsible for daily operations of the outpatient services, reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, Hospital Administration, CEO, and/or Board of Directors.

The role coordinates with the DON and Clinical Director to ensure adequate staffing and compliance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans' mission, policies and Performance Improvement Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction, supervision, monitoring and disciplinary action for all staff of the Outpatient Program, being available for formal or informal supervision.
• Cooperates and works with all members of the management team to develop, formulate, implement and to adhere to regulatory body standards and meet facility goals and objectives.
• Provides, coordinates and monitors in-service opportunities for staff continuing education.
• Supervises Utilization Review and performance improvement in the outpatient setting.
• Provides/coordinates education to staff and monitoring for compliance plan, and age/disability/cultural sensitivity in care, ensuring appropriate patient information is communicated.
• Communicates in an age/disability related manner to patients and families.
• Conducts treatment planning, discharge planning and facilitates support groups to meet the needs of patients and families.
• Participates in marketing events for outpatient services as needed and required.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Job description

The Outpatient Program Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the outpatient services and functions, subject to oversight by the Director of Clinical Services, Hospital Administration, CEO, and/or Board of Directors. Coordinates with the DON and the Clinical Director about staffing issues and pertinent nursing care issues to assist in overseeing nursing and therapy duties that apply to the daily operation of the program. The Outpatient Program Manager shall assure the outpatient program is adequately staffed, programming meets the standards set in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans' Mission, policies and procedures and Performance Improvement Standards.

Essential Functions:

1. Provides direction, supervision, monitoring and disciplinary action for all staff of the Outpatient Program, being available for formal or informal supervision.

5. Provides/coordinates education to staff and monitoring for compliance plan, and specific age/disability/cultural sensitivity and diversity adherence, as well as demonstrates an ability to assess and interpret age/disability specific information and patient population response to treatment.
6. Communicates in an age/disability related manner to patients and patients’ families.
7. Conducts treatment planning, discharge planning and facilitates support groups to meet the needs of patients and families.
8. Participates in marketing events for outpatient services as needed and required.
