Compass Intervention Center seeks an Assistant Director of Outpatient Services to oversee the outpatient division, ensure high-quality therapeutic services, and align programs with regulatory standards.

The role collaborates with the Medical Director and business development to support referrals, market the hospital, and maintain positive relationships with providers and families. Strong leadership and clinical supervision are essential for team morale and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the clinical program and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensures that all clinical activities comply with all regulatory standards.
  • Reviews therapy documentation by Therapists and Recreation Therapists and reports data to the Performance Improvement Committee on a regular basis.
  • Monitors effectiveness of treatment modalities and implement necessary changes as recommended by the Professional Staff
  • Ensures that all appropriate clinical information is transmitted to referring Physicians and Therapists.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, interviews and hires clinical staff, including Therapists, Recreation Therapists, and Discharge Planner.

Compass Intervention Center is seeking a Assistant Director of Outpatient Services. This position assumes responsibility for the functioning of the Outpatient Services and the quality of social services provided through policies, procedures, and PI. Serves as clinical liaison with the continuum of care services. Contributes to the development of programs for specialized client populations for inpatient and the continuum of care. In conjunction with community resources, contributes to the maintenance of relationships with outside agencies, private practitioners, insurers and family members. Participates in county and regional meetings of the public mental health providers. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each client’s specific needs and provide clinical treatment and care.This position has overall responsibility for managing, coordinating, supervising, and implementing treatment programs and the delivery of services in an effective manner. The Assistant Director of Outpatient Services works with the Medical Director, as well as the other medical staff, to ensure that the hospital delivers a high level of therapy services that meets the patients’ needs and follows all regulatory standards. Works closely with the Business Development Director to market the hospital to referral sources and to ensure appropriate and effective communication back to referral sources about patients they have referred to the hospital. Supervises staff to ensure a productive team that operates with high morale. The Assistant Director of Outpatient Services works cooperatively with other team members to ensure that each patient has a positive clinical experience with the best possible outcome.
