Job description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate IIH Team Lead to join our team. You must have an active provisional license in the state of NC. Intensive in Home is a service designed to work with at risk children and adolescents in their home and school settings. The Team Lead is pivotal in providing leadership and support to the IIH Team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate expertise in team supervision and various therapeutic modalities. The IIH Team shall provide “first responder” crisis response, as indicated in the PCP, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to individuals receiving this service. In partnership with the individual, the individual’s family, and the legally responsible person, as appropriate, the Licensed Professional or QP on the team is responsible for convening the Child and Family Team, which is the vehicle for the person-centered planning process. This person must be comfortable working in the home of families referred. The Licensed Professional is responsible for monitoring and documenting the status of the individual’s progress and the effectiveness of the strategies and interventions outlined in the PCP. The Licensed Professional consults with identified medical (such as primary care and psychiatric) and non-medical providers (e.g., the county department of social services [DSS], school, the Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention [DJJDP]), engages community and natural supports, and includes their input in the person-centered planning process. As IIH Team Lead, you will be responsible for guiding team members in their interactions, reviewing documentation, providing weekly supervision, fostering a supportive environment, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in mental health counseling or related fields.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and its application within a clinical setting.

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Experience with cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma focused techniques is preferred.

Ability to conduct and document comprehensive clinical assessments effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse populations.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
