Job summary

The Buckeye Ranch in Whitehall, OH is seeking an Intensive Family Support Counselor/Social Worker to join our Intensive Family Support team. The Home-Based Counselor/Social Worker provides therapy and support for youth and families dealing with behavioral and delinquency issues.

Schedule is full-time, 10a-6p, Monday to Friday. Compensation varies by licensure level, with higher licensure commanding higher salaries; travel is 40–50% and a supportive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work or related field; master's degree preferred.
Active LPC, LSW, or MFT licensure (or licensure-exam eligible).
Active driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

Assesses clients for appropriate level of care and environmental impacts.
Identifies trauma history and risk of abuse or neglect.
Identify cultural factors and family strengths for treatment planning.
Collaborate with admissions and complete comprehensive assessments.
Develops training plans and facilitates coaching with family focus.
Conducts therapy sessions with individuals and families.
Educates clients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-management.
Record progress and complete documentation timely.
