Job summary

Emerson's AI & Automation co-op role offers hands-on experience delivering automated processes in collaborative teams. You design, develop and deploy automation solutions using Python, Power BI, SQL and related tools, while applying Lean and Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work on project-based assignments in teams to deliver automated processes.
  • Design, develop and implement automation solutions for existing or new processes.
  • Identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, and develop, test and deploy solutions.
  • Leverage AI & automation tools including Python, Power BI, SQL, etc.
  • Apply Lean concepts and Scrum agile project management.
  • Map processes with process owners and support change management.
  • Deploy projects into production with required documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • Grow through feedback and continuous learning.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Members of the AI & Automation team will work on project-based assignments in small and large teams to deliver automated processes
  • Actively participate in team meetings, offering valuable insights and ideas to tackle complex problems
  • Design, develop and implement custom solutions for the automation of existing or new processes
  • Ability to implement the full lifecycle of an automation solution: identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, and develop, test and deploy automation solutions
  • Leverage AI & automation tools, including but not limited to: Sema4.ai, Python, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Copilot Studio, SQL
  • Apply Lean concepts and process improvement methodologies
  • Utilize Scrum agile project management framework
  • Work with process owners to understand and map out their processes
  • Employ change management techniques as we implement new and improved processes
  • Validations with process owners and an end-to-end business validation upon completion of development effort
  • Work closely with team to deploy projects into production, complete required documentation including lessons learned and execute knowledge transfer
  • Consistently demonstrate a strong passion for learning and growth, remaining open to feedback and new experiences
  • Other duties, as needed
