Job summary

Cherokee Insights, a Cherokee Federal division, seeks an Intelligence Discipline Lead SME to support USSOCOM missions. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and extensive analytical expertise to shape targeting decisions and operational planning.

The successful candidate will lead analytic efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights, supervise junior analysts, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives in a demanding government contracting environment.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Minimum 10 years performing analytical intelligence operations.
  • Minimum 5 years of operational analysis experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in a managerial role supporting special operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of F3EAD targeting methodology.
  • Expert knowledge of intelligence tradecraft, cycle, and analytical methods.

Responsibilities

  • Supports USSOCOM Staff in targeting analysis and comprehensive intelligence operations to develop prudent COAs and prioritize efforts.
  • Employs technical knowledge to benefit USSOCOM operations and long-term plans.
  • Assists in integrating intelligence with operational plans and capabilities to achieve desired effects.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job description

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. Cherokee Insights is seeking an Intelligence Discipline Lead SME to support USSOCOM.

Intelligence Discipline Lead SME Responsibilities Include
  • Supports USSOCOM Staff in the conduct of targeting analysis, comprehensive intelligence operations to support the development of prudent COAs, recommend priorities, and support to USSOCOM operations
  • Employs technical knowledge for the long-term benefit to USSOCOM operations and plans
  • Assists the USSOCOM Staff with the integration of intelligence with operational plans and capabilities to achieve desired effects
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Intelligence Discipline Lead SME Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience performing analytical intelligence related operations while serving in an Intelligence Task Force, National Intelligence Support Team, National Military Joint Intelligence Center or Combatant Command, or a non‑DoD equivalent IA operational community.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of operational analysis experience in their analytical field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a managerial level position in support of special operations, including combat overseas tours with a SMU and or SOF in an operational environment providing a direct analysis support function is highly desired.
  • Advanced skill sets with the F3EAD targeting methodology to include broad knowledge of additional intelligence disciplines and significant demonstrable experience in their field capable of leading analytical efforts culminating in products.
  • Advanced skill sets with the Intelligence Cycle, HVI Targeting, Social Network Analysis, Patterns of Life Analysis and one or more of the following areas: Human Factors Analysis, Human Terrain Analysis, SIGINT Targeting, Convergence Analysis, and Intelligence training.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of analytical theory, doctrine, rules, regulations, directives, systems, concepts, methodologies and relevant skills related to intelligence operations.
  • Expert knowledge of applying tradecraft, tools, and methods to collect, analysis, and integrate complex information related to targeting.
  • Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
