Job summary

The Department of Corrections of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Intelligence Analyst 1 to help protect staff, inmates, and parole agents by reviewing information, identifying patterns, and supporting security planning.

You will analyze intelligence data, respond to requests from law enforcement with confidential reports, source relevant databases, and gather records to inform investigations. Telework may be available part-time, with standard hours 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• One year of paraprofessional research experience that includes gathering, analyzing, and organizing information, and a bachelor’s degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 60 college credits.

Responsibilities

• Review inmate and reentrant information to identify patterns and potential security threats
• Respond to requests from law enforcement and provide confidential intelligence reports
• Assess information received from various sources to determine investigative value
• Identify relevant databases, reports, and resources needed for intelligence research
• Gather records, photographs, and related materials to support analysis
• Organize facts and trends to assist in security decisions and response planning
