The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Intelligence Analyst I to support the Department of Corrections with data-driven insights and protective intelligence. You will review information, identify patterns, and help prevent incidents affecting staff, inmates, and parole agents.

This role involves confidential reporting, telework consideration, and adherence to CJIS and security clearances. Work hours are standard, with potential for remote work within Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• One year of paraprofessional research experience that includes gathering, analyzing, and organizing information, and a bachelor’s degree.
• Equivalently, 60 college credits with related experience or training.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours/week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

• One year of paraprofessional research experience that includes gathering, analyzing, and organizing information, and a bachelor’s degree ; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 60 college credits.

Special Requirement

• This position requires possession of a Secret Security Clearance issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or attainment of this clearance during the probationary period, and continual maintenance of this clearance during employment in the position.

Additional Requirements

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
