Job summary

George Mason University is seeking Intelligence Analysts for the Washington/Baltimore HIDTA Investigative Support Center (ISC). You will join a team that supports HIDTA initiatives by exploiting data related to drug trafficking, crime, and violence.

The role involves the full intelligence cycle, producing reports and briefings, and coordinating with law enforcement agencies, with an emphasis on open-source intelligence, data analysis, and presentation of findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of the Intelligence Cycle and related processes.
• Formal intelligence analyst training from law enforcement or accredited orgs (DEA/IALEA).
• Knowledge of regulations on collection and dissemination of intelligence (28 CFR 23).
• Experience with data collection, analysis and dissemination of criminal intelligence.
• Proficiency with internet navigation and open-source intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all steps of the intelligence cycle: planning, collecting, processing, analyzing, disseminating.
• Prepares digital charts, graphs, tables, maps and other visual aids for briefings and reports.
• Provides training and serves as liaison to other agencies to share information.
• Manages ISC special projects as needed, on permanent or temporary basis.
