Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of and demonstrable experience with the Intelligence Cycle.
• Training from law enforcement or accredited bodies (e.g., IALEA).
• Knowledge of federal regulations regarding collection and dissemination of intelligence (28 CFR Part 23).
• Knowledge of the Intelligence Cycle and Criminal Investigations.
• Knowledge in collection, analyzing, and dissemination of criminal intelligence.
• Excellent skills in internet navigation and open-source intelligence.
• Proficiency in current analytic software and crime analysis tools.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Identifies end users and defines their intelligence needs.
• Collects, organizes and analyzes data.
• Uses intelligence software for analysis and reporting.
• Determines suspicious activity or associations.
• Identifies leads for follow-up investigations.
• Performs link analysis to uncover connections.
• Conducts toll analysis of telephone data.
• Develops leads for investigations for HIDTA agencies.
• Researches criminal investigations and trends.
• Prepares graphs, charts, tables, and maps for briefs.
• Creates comprehensive reports for deployment of resources.
• Attends inter-agency meetings and trainings.
• Provides training to transfer analytical skills to others.
• Manages ISC special projects as needed.
