Job summary

The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office is seeking an Intelligence Analyst in the Criminal Bureau's Enterprise & Major Crimes Division (Boston Office). The role focuses on intelligence and data analysis to support the Fentanyl Strike Force, including complex research into drug networks and tactical investigations.

The analyst will collaborate with state and federal partners, manage data, and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related demonstrated experience in intelligence.
• Basic understanding of and interest in drug law enforcement.
• Conduct and manage complex research into drug cultivation, transportation, trafficking routes, and trafficking organizations.
• Coordinate and conduct the FSF’s analysis of aggregate data sets and methodologies.
• Analyze aggregate datasets and develop root-cause patterns to improve public safety.
• Use data collection and mapping software to compile information from partner enforcement reports.
• Conduct preliminary vetting of incoming tips and intelligence.
• Solicit user participation in contributing information to intelligence databases.
• Meet with law enforcement to identify gaps and collect raw data.
• Coordinate multi-agency collaboration and provide project management and intelligence analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop tactical, operational and strategic intelligence for investigations.
• Analyze phone-related data, emails, texts to quantify plots and conspiracies.
• Coordinate analysis for multi-agency collaborations and present data findings.
• Prepare, summarize, and present investigative findings for partners.
• Communicate with other agencies on deconfliction matters.
• Meet with law enforcement to identify data gaps and progress.
