Job summary

Keystone Human Services in Guilford, CT, seeks Advanced Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized, person-directed support to adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health needs, and autism. You will help with daily living skills, personal care, and creating a healthy, engaging home environment.

The role may involve administering medications, delegated nursing tasks, health monitoring under a nurse's supervision, emergencies following protocols, and implementing behavior

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of work experience supporting individuals with challenging medical needs and/or behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health.
• Effective communication and proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license and, depending on work location, daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, person-directed support to adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health needs, and autism.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care; teach and reinforce health and wellness routines.
• Advocate for health and wellness and create a healthy, engaging home setting.
