Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies, Strategic Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or related field.
• Master's degree or equivalent intelligence training preferred.
• Three+ years of academic or professional research and intelligence product development experience.
• Proficiency with PC and iOS hardware/software and common office tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular online open-source monitoring for threats to security, operations, and reputation.
• Analyze threats and produce actionable intelligence deliverables promptly.
• Research global security issues including crime, protests, weather, disasters, and geopolitics.
• Lead development of new intelligence products and improve existing ones.

About the role:The SIS Intelligence Analyst is responsible for producing intelligence products and regularly monitoring online open sources for potential security and operational threats. The Analyst will interface with the client and SIS management and is expected to provide expert advice on matters related to security intelligence. The Intel Analyst reports to the Intel Manager.In this role, your responsibilities will be:Conduct regular monitoring sweeps through online open sources for known and potential threats to company security, operations, and reputationEffectively analyze relevant threats and produce actionable intelligence deliverables promptlyConduct in-depth research on a wide range of issues related to global security, such as petty and violent crime trends, disruptive protests, weather conditions, natural disasters, travel concerns, and socio-economic and geopolitical dynamicsLead the development of new intelligence products as well as analyze existing intelligence products to provide recommendations for improvementPerform other job-related duties as assignedAs a candidate, you must have:Bachelor's Degree in Latin American Studies, Strategic Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or other related studies; Master's Degree preferred or equivalent military/professional intelligence trainingThree plus years of academic or professional experience in research, analysis, and development of intelligence products/reportsProficiency in PC and iOS hardware and software, including word processing, data analysis, presentation, visual, mapping programs, major social media platforms, and investigative and risk management toolsComplete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certifications; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise notedMust be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm, with the ability to delivera high level of customer serviceHave flexibility to work any shifts on any day of the week (Mon-Sun) and willingness to assist the team when neededWe offer:$23-25 HourlyHealth, Dental, Vision, and 401 (k)Paid Time Off, including Sick/Safe TimeA dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunities for growthSecurity Industry Specialists, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
