Job summary

The NBA is seeking an analytics engineer to own ingestion and transformation of betting, OSINT, and vendor data, turning it into well-modelled datasets that feed policy investigations and ML tooling. You will join a cross-disciplinary team to deliver robust data assets with strong lineage and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL skills with complex analytic data models.
• Experience with dbt and a modern analytics stack.
• Proficiency in Snowflake; performance and cost management.
• Python for ingestion and data processing; API integration.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster or similar).

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion from betting partners and vendors and normalize into conformed models.
• Build OSINT pipelines and perform entity resolution to link identities.
• Integrate betting data with internal league data for game context.
• Develop production analytics models in dbt on Snowflake with best practices.
• Create reusable pipelines and datasets for data science and ML.
• Implement automated data quality and monitoring with SLA awareness.
• Develop semantic layer with standardized definitions and metrics.
