Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG) seeks an Integrative Oncology Physician to join the Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute in Miami. The role focuses on evidence-informed, whole-person cancer care across the patient journey.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification in Integrative Medicine through ABOIM is required or eligible.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is strongly preferred.
• ACGME-accredited residency in Family/Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine; Integrative Medicine fellowship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient integrative oncology care using evidence-informed approaches for symptom management, survivorship, wellness, nutrition, lifestyle modification, and quality of life.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical, surgical, radiation oncology, supportive care, nutrition, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and survivorship services.
• Deliver education to patients and physicians on integrative medicine and whole-person cancer care.
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement projects, and scholarly activities aligned with institutional priorities.

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM) is strongly preferred
• Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency training program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and formal Integrative Medicine fellowship training is preferred

• Participate in clinical research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and scholarly activities aligned with institutional priorities
• Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute has been recognized by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) for promoting ethically sound and safe human subjects research practices
