Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG) is seeking a full-time Physician Advisor to serve as a clinical resource for medical staff and Case Management teams, helping identify and resolve utilization issues while supporting compliant, high-quality patient care.

The Physician Advisor will collaborate with oncology and surgical teams to develop individualized breast cancer treatment plans, participate in clinical trials, and contribute to teaching and quality improvement initiatives across the Herbert

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestrictive medical license or eligibility by start date.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology (ABIM).
• Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from an ACGME-accredited program.
• Expertise in diagnosis and management of breast cancer.
• Experience collaborating with Breast Surgical Oncology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Genetics, and other oncology specialists.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients using chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
• Participate in clinical trials when appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans and optimize outcomes.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast tumor boards and treatment planning conferences.

• Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
• Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
• Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology from an ACGME-accredited program is required
• Candidates must demonstrate expertise in the diagnosis and management of patients with early-stage and advanced breast cancer
• Responsibilities include the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients utilizing chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and participation in clinical trials when appropriate
• Collaborate closely with Breast Surgical Oncology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Genetics, and other oncology specialists to develop individualized treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes

• Candidates should demonstrate expertise in the management of hormone receptor-positive, HER2-positive, and triple-negative breast cancers
