Job summary

System One in Fayetteville, AR seeks an Integrations Engineer II (API) to design, develop, test, and support API-based integrations with customers and vendors using REST and SOAP. You will translate business and technical requirements into working solutions and build authentication and data-mapping logic for API connections.

Required is a Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field and 2–4+ years in API integrations, with OAuth 2.0 and API key management.

• 2–4+ years building or supporting API integrations in logistics/supply chain environments.
• Experience with REST and/or SOAP APIs, including OAuth 2.0 and API key management.
• Familiarity with TMS/WMS/ERP integrations is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support API-based integrations with customers and vendors (REST and SOAP).
• Translate business and technical requirements into working integration solutions.
• Build and maintain authentication, authorization, and data-mapping logic for API connections.
• Monitor performance, identify, and resolve integration errors or data discrepancies.
• Collaborate with TMS, WMS, ERP, and EDI teams to align with system architecture and data standards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including API specs and data-mapping guides.
• Onboard customers and vendors to scope, test, and validate new integrations through go-live.
• Troubleshoot issues across full stack, including payloads, auth, and downstream processing.
• Support security and compliance for API access and third-party connections.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of tools and processes.
• Track work via Jira and support requests via Freshservice.

Job Title: Integrations Engineer II (API)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support API-based integrations with customers and vendors, including REST and SOAP web services.
• Gather and translate business and technical requirements from customers, vendors, and internal teams into working integration solutions.
• Build and maintain authentication, authorization, and data mapping logic for inbound and outbound API connections (e.g., OAuth, API keys, tokens).
• Monitor integration performance and data flow, proactively identifying and resolving errors, failures, or data discrepancies.
• Collaborate with TMS, WMS, ERP, and EDI teams to ensure integrations align with broader system architecture and data standards.
• Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, including API specifications, data mapping guides, and integration runbooks.
• Partner with customers and vendors during onboarding to scope, test, and validate new integrations through go-live.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across the full stack — from API payloads and authentication to downstream system processing.
• Support security and compliance requirements related to API access, data handling, and third‑party connections.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of integration tools, patterns, and processes.
• Track and manage integration work through Jira and support requests through Freshservice.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 2–4+ years of experience building or supporting API integrations, preferably in a logistics, supply chain, or transportation environment.
• Experience working with REST and/or SOAP APIs, including authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0 and API key management.
• Experience integrating with or supporting TMS, WMS, or ERP platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with EDI concepts and X12 transaction sets is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of NetSuite and/or MercuryGate is a plus, but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with Jira for ticket tracking and project management is a plus.
• Experience with Freshservice for IT service management is a plus.
