NOTE: This is an onsite role in Plano, Texas. Remote work is not an option for this opening.
This is a hands-on technology role focused on building, maintaining, connecting, and improving systems. The position will work across integrations, internal applications, automation, troubleshooting, and technology improvements while partnering with IT, Accounting, Operations, Sales, leadership, and other business users. The right person will be comfortable getting to the root cause when systems are disconnected, data is incorrect, or a process is more manual than it should be and then taking ownership of the solution.
Responsibilities
Business Systems & Integrations
- Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve integrations between Business Central, ERP/TMS, accounting, payment, and operational systems.
- Work with TAI and other transportation and business platforms.
- Develop and support REST APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML data flows, and third‑party integrations.
- Work with EDI/X12 and SFTP integrations, including transaction flows used in transportation and financial processes.
- Work with authentication and authorization technologies such as OAuth2.
Internal Applications
- Build internal tools, dashboards, utilities, and workflow applications used by Operations, Accounting, Sales, and other teams.
- Work across the application stack, including user interface, backend logic, databases/schema, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Create intuitive applications that make business processes easier and more reliable.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify repetitive or manual processes that can be automated.
- Develop solutions that reduce errors, eliminate duplicate work, and improve efficiency across Accounting, Operations, and Sales.
- Evaluate existing technology and processes and recommend practical improvements.
Troubleshooting & Data Integrity
- Trace data through multiple systems to identify where information is lost, delayed, duplicated, or incorrectly transformed.
- Investigate discrepancies using logs, API behavior, data, configuration, and system activity.
- Determine whether an issue is caused by an application, integration, data, configuration, or user/process problem.
- Build appropriate monitoring and exception handling for critical integrations.
- Validate that technical changes produce accurate operational and financial results.
- Troubleshoot production issues, determine root cause, implement fixes, and document solutions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development, systems integration, application development, or a related IT discipline.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to write maintainable, reliable code.
- Experience building or troubleshooting APIs and system integrations.
- Strong understanding of REST, HTTP, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with authentication/authorization and third‑party API documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting API and integration issues, including HTTP errors and data-mapping problems.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to understand data flows across multiple systems and identify root causes.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and follow problems through to resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to nontechnical users.
- Bachelor's degree in a technology related field.
- The following are considered a plus: EDI/X12 experience, particularly 204, 210, 214, 990, and 997 transactions, SFTP and file-based integrations, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience, e3xperience integrating ERP, TMS, payment, or financial systems, Professional Go experience, MS Entra app registrations, application permissions, and app‑only authentication/tokens, etc.
