Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, and 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master’s degree.

Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire. Applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.

As an I&T Engineer, you’ll join a cross-functional team responsible for building software and platforms supporting our customers’ most critical missions in the Space and Intelligence domains.

The ideal candidate has a strong software background, experience in large solution programs, and understanding of DoD domains/programs. Experience in the Space domain, especially OPIR, is preferred. This position is contingent on award.

As an I&T Engineer, you will:

• Design, build, integrate, test, deploy, and improve software services and platforms within an agile team.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to ensure quality is built in early and is testable.
• Develop and participate in QA/test approaches for CI/CD environments.
• Test applications through automated and manual methods, including UI testing.
• Qualify new features by testing on supported platforms and configurations.
• Implement, execute, and troubleshoot automated tests during sprints.
• Verify installations, track bugs, and participate in development meetings.
• Apply standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Support and develop our technical culture through engagement, curiosity, friendliness, motivation, and problem-solving.
• Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.

Candidates should have strengths in some of the following areas:

• Test methodologies, I&T plans, test case creation, debugging.
• Application deployment tools like Ansible.
• DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Gitlab.
• Tools like Junit-Mockito, Apache HTTPD, Spring Boot.
• Unix/Linux environments.
• Test automation tools like Selenium, Test Complete, Cucumber, JMeter.
• Cloud computing and IaaS environments such as RHOSP, Azure, AWS.
• Container and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Software engineering principles and effective communication.

Additional beneficial experience includes familiarity with DevSecOps toolchains, Agile methodologies, technology trends, profiling, building large-scale applications, distributed systems, and data visualization.

Salary Range: USD $87,324 - USD $96,875 per year, based on experience and location. The posting remains open until filled.
