Context

Vehicles have historically been a significant growth driver for eBay, with eBay Motors established as a sub-brand to cater to this market. Over the years, the automotive landscape has evolved, with competitors creating tailored experiences for enthusiasts. To maintain its competitive edge, eBay implemented a focused category strategy aimed at optimizing the buying and selling experience within the vehicles market. Our partnership with Caramel is a strategic investment designed to transform eBay Motors by providing customers with a seamless and secure checkout experience for used car transactions. This integration focuses on driving trust and reducing risk and complexity in online car sales, offering customers access to financing, transportation services, insurance, and secure payment options.

Position Summary

eBay is seeking an Integration Manager to join the eBay Motors team and drive the integration of Caramel into the eBay Motors ecosystem. Reporting to the Integration Director, this role will involve strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and operational execution to ensure seamless integration and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic advisor to the US Vehicles leadership team, providing insights and recommendations that support business goals and enhance decision-making.
  • Performance Tracking: Organize and manage regular business reviews and initiative deep dives to monitor and report on progress against strategic plans. Use insights to drive adjustments and improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business, product, customer service, and other teams to ensure successful integration of Caramel. Facilitate communication and coordination to meet key milestones and objectives.
  • Executive Communication: Create and present executive-level presentations that effectively convey strategic plans and operational updates, ensuring alignment and buy-in from senior leadership.
  • Project Management: Lead projects from planning through execution, collaborating with diverse teams such as product, marketing, analytics, finance, business development, and pricing. Develop and implement formal processes to overcome barriers and ensure timely delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes that enhance operational success. Identify and execute strategic deep dives or improvements across the US Vehicles landscape to optimize performance.
  • Operational Ownership: Over time, take operational ownership of key initiatives, driving them from inception to successful execution and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience, including 2+ years at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or in a strategy & planning role at a major corporation. MBA preferred but not required. Proven track record in managing complex projects and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives backed by data. Experience in creating executive-level presentations and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence and project management. Experience in coordinating and aligning diverse teams towards common goals.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand business operations, identify challenges, and develop strategic solutions that drive success.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools and methodologies to inform decision-making and drive initiatives to completion within specified timelines.
  • Genuine interest in eBay and eBay Motors. Passion for the enthusiast vehicles space is not required, however candidate must be willing and able to quickly learn about and embrace the vehicles enthusiast community. Candidate must have a strong desire to meet customers and help eBay win!
  • Must be willing to work in person from an eBay office a minimum of 3 days per week with occasional travel. If remote, the candidate must be willing to travel up to once per month for the first 3-6 months, and several times per year thereafter.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$90,400 - $157,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
