Job summary

Xsolis in Franklin, TN, is hiring an Integration Engineer II to design and implement interfaces across XSOLIS applications and partner systems. You will collaborate with application teams and third-party experts to define business needs, configure interfaces, and ensure stability of data exchange.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, documentation, and proactive support, with opportunities to work across the integration stack and configurations. This is an on-site position based in Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience creating and maintain HL7 interfaces.
• 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Basic knowledge of application support.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HL7 v2.x message types and segment/field mapping (ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, MDM).
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of XML, CCD, CDA and DICOM, and standards such as LOINC, CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10, SNOMED.
• Proficient with SQL Server/MySQL.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP security, networking, and data transport methods.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to troubleshoot interface issues through research.
• Experience with Mirth Connect (or similar) interface engine.
• Proficient working from the command line.

Responsibilities

• Determine business needs for interfaces with stakeholders and document requirements.
• Provide proactive live interface monitoring and permanent resolutions with senior engineers.
• Support, troubleshoot, upgrade, and audit the interface engine.
• Research technical interface problems and apply troubleshooting with minimal assistance.
• Create and maintain flat file pass-through for third-party entities and support the mapping/tooling.
• Maintain detailed architectural documentation for deployed interfaces.
• Manage information flow between internal and external customers.
• Communicate with customers to resolve issues and explain interfaces.
• Review specifications and architect interfaces based on their design.
• Create interfaces from scratch and document new interfaces for projects.

Position Summary Details

The Integration Engineer II supports the development and implementation of integrating solutions for XSOLIS applications and services across internal and external platforms. The Integration Engineer II works with occasional assistance from senior members of the team and cross functionally to determine, document, and configure interfaces to support the application software. Integration Engineers are keen problem solvers, excellent researchers, and have great analytical skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• With occasional assistance from team and manager, works closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine the business needs for interfaces, document the requirements, and configure the interfaces per the requirements.
• Provide proactive support by monitoring live interfaces and collaborating with SR Integration Engineer experts to provide permanent resolutions to problems
• Support, troubleshoot, upgrade, and audit the interface engine.
• Research technical, interface and integration problems and routinely apply troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with minimal assistance
• Create and maintain flat file pass-through for third-party entities and be able to support the integration tool used to map and troubleshoot
• Maintain detailed architectural documentation for all deployed interfaces.
• Manage the flow of information between internal and external customers.
• Communicating and supporting internal and external customers by solving customer issues
• Ability to review specifications and architect interfaces based on their design.
• Creating interfaces from scratch and documenting brand new interfaces for projects

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience creating and maintain HL7 interfaces
• 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting
• Basic knowledge of application support
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HL7 version 2.x message types and segment/field mapping (ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, MDM, etc.)
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of healthcare data exchange formats such as XML, CCD, CDA and DICOM, as well as healthcare data standards such as LOINC, CPT, IDC-9/ICD-10, and SNOMED
• Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server/MySQL database platform
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP security, networking, and data transport methods
• Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely
• Ability to problem solve/troubleshoot interface issues through research
• Experience working with Mirth Connect (or similar) interface engine
• Proficient working from the command line

Working Environment and Travel Requirements

• Work is typically in a normal office administrative environment involving minimal exposure to physical risks.
• Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Mostly sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. No significant stooping is usually required.
• This role requires travel to our home offices in TN for training.
