Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an Integration Engineer II to develop and test Hivemind mission autonomy and vision capabilities on real aircraft. You will build HIL infrastructure, automate tests, and validate software in HIL/SIL environments, collaborating across software, electrical, and mechanical teams.

You will load and verify software/firmware releases, troubleshoot interfaces, and support ground and flight tests while maintaining thorough documentation and repeatable configurations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience integrating and testing hardware and software in robotics or aerospace projects.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Linux, networking concepts, and debugging complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain HIL test infrastructure for mission autonomy and vision systems.
• Create and execute integration, regression, and system test plans for Hivemind software in HIL, SIL, and VIL environments.
• Build Python tools and automated test utilities for test execution and data collection.
• Load, configure, and validate software/firmware releases; document configurations and results.
• Troubleshoot sensor, compute, power, and network interfaces; support ground and flight tests.
