You will coordinate testing across ASRS, conveyors, WMS/WCS, PLCs, and MHE, lead SIT/UAT/FIT, manage defects and risk, and report readiness to senior leadership; 5 days onsite required.

Integrated Test Manager — Warehouse Automation / ASRS

Location: Spartanburg, SC

Work Arrangement: 5 Days Onsite

Job Type: Full-Time / Contract

Experience: 5–6+ years relevant Test Management experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Integrated Test Manager / Test PMO Lead to lead testing strategy, governance, execution, and go-live readiness for a large-scale warehouse automation and ASRS implementation.

This role will coordinate testing across ASRS, conveyors, sortation, WMS, WCS, PLC controls, material handling equipment, warehouse systems, and business operations.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Test Management, QA, Business Analysis, PMO, or Release Management and hands‑on experience testing warehouse automation / ASRS / MHE systems.

Important: Hands‑on warehouse automation, ASRS, MHE, PLC, conveyor, or sortation testing experience is required. WMS QA experience alone is not sufficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the integrated test strategy, master test plan, testing methodology, governance, quality gates, and readiness criteria.

• Lead the complete testing lifecycle, including:

• Functional Integration Testing (FIT)

• System Integration Testing (SIT)

• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Day-in-the-Life (DIAL)

• Regression Testing

• Performance/Throughput Testing

• Develop and manage integrated test schedules across automation equipment, WMS/WCS, PLC controls, interfaces, and host systems.

• Coordinate testing across warehouse operations, engineering, IT, business SMEs, system integrators, automation vendors, and technology partners.

• Develop test scenarios, scripts, test data, environments, regression coverage, and business process validation.

• Establish test readiness gates, acceptance criteria, entry/exit criteria, and go‑live readiness requirements.

• Ensure testing validates real‑world warehouse operational processes.

• Lead defect management and triage, including prioritization, root‑cause analysis, retesting, escalation, and closure.

• Coordinate end‑to‑end integration testing across:

• ASRS

• Conveyors

• Sortation

• WMS

• WCS

• PLC controls

• Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

• Inventory systems

• Interfaces and host systems

• Coordinate equipment functional, rate, throughput, performance, and availability testing with automation and engineering teams.

• Drive cutover and go‑live readiness, including risks, dependencies, contingency plans, rollback strategies, business continuity, and executive sign‑offs.

• Support command center operations and hypercare stabilization during go‑live.

• Maintain PMO governance through test dashboards, RAID logs, defect metrics, milestone tracking, readiness assessments, and executive reporting.

• Communicate testing status, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and readiness to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of relevant Test Management / QA / Test PMO experience.

• Experience managing large‑scale, multi‑phase testing programs.

• Hands‑on experience with warehouse automation / ASRS / MHE testing — REQUIRED.

• Experience with one or more of:

• AS/RS

• Automated material handling systems

• Conveyors

• Sortation systems

• PLC controls

• Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)

• Strong experience with SIT, UAT, and FIT; experience with cutover, go‑live, and hypercare is highly preferred.

• Experience with test planning, execution, defect management, test reporting, and quality governance.

• Working knowledge of WMS/WCS integration and warehouse automation systems.

• Understanding of distribution center and warehouse operations.

• Experience coordinating system integrators, automation vendors, technology partners, and business stakeholders.

• Strong PMO, risk management, governance, and executive reporting experience.

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.

• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work 5 days onsite in Spartanburg, SC.
