Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Highlands Ranch, CO, supports the Orion Program and seeks a level 3 Program Planner. This role partners with senior management to drive cost, schedule, and technical performance, developing compliant Integrated Program Schedules and providing critical path analyses.

You will ensure integration across schedules and program artifacts, model risks, and present actionable planning data to guide program execution and proposals.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of planning/scheduling experience.
• Experience with a planning tool (e.g. OpenPlan, Microsoft Project, Acumen, One Pager Pro, Primavera, Excel, or other comparable tools).
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts (such as critical path analysis, cost/schedule integration, performance metrics, program start-up activities).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Program & Senior Management to drive cost, schedule, and technical performance by facilitating integration across all functions.
• Develop compliant Integrated Program Schedules validating flow, budget, and resources required to execute contractual scope and strategy.
• Provide time‑phased critical path predictive analysis and planning data, and develop solutions to programmatic execution conflicts.
• Ensure all commitments are tracked, monitored and statused.
• Prepare/coordinate planning artifacts for solicitation response.
• Interface with program management, senior management and the customer as the planning integrator.
• Ensure vertical and horizontal integration, and cost/schedule integration between all schedules and artifacts.
• Devise modeling and measuring techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with schedule and cost baseline, and perform schedule risk assessments.
• Utilize performance and health metrics analyses to drive actions for improved program performance.

Our Enterprise Performance organization seeks a level 3 Program Planner to join our mission in Highlands Ranch, CO supporting the Orion Program. Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor building the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, NASA’s first spacecraft designed for long‑duration, human‑rated deep space exploration. Orion will transport humans to interplanetary destinations beyond low Earth orbit, such as asteroids, the moon and eventually Mars, and return them safely back to Earth.

In This Role You Will

Basic Qualifications

• Previous EVM experience
• Understanding of the end - to - end lifecycle of a spacecraft/satellite program
• Understanding all of the Program Performance Management Process
• Demonstrated competency in integrating cost/schedule
• Prior team lead experience
• Ability to work independently as well as part of an integrated team
• Strong sense of follow - up and closure with attention to detail
• Self-starter able to operate with minimal guidance
• Desire and willingness to support dynamic proposal activities
• Strong problem solving skills to identify and resolve challenges that arise
• Ability to make sound decisions
• Ability to communicate and work effectively across multiple disciplines

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
