Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a Program Planning professional to support the OPIR Mission from Highlands Ranch, CO or Sunnyvale, CA. You will interface with Engineering, Business Operations, and Program Management to develop a compliant Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reflecting contractual scope and resources.

You will mentor peers, contribute to training, and work independently as part of a team of planners delivering compliant solutions on time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional program planning experience.
  • Expert with IMP/IMS development for contract actions and proposals.
  • Experience with DCMA data-driven metrics and baseline change control.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and maintenance of the IMS ensuring integration with IMP/IMS and PSMS.
  • Maintain schedule integration across IMS, PSMS and supplemental schedules.
  • Lead preparation, execution and maintenance of planning products.
  • Support Earned Value Management through schedule integration.
  • Identify critical paths and perform risk analysis and corrective actions.
  • Provide schedule guidance to Production Operations and Master Scheduler.
  • Perform schedule integrity checks and generate IMS reports for stakeholders.
  • Present schedule information to internal/external customers.

We seek a Program Planning professional to be part of our team supporting the OPIR Mission. Based out of Highlands Ranch, CO or Sunnyvale, CA you will support the execution efforts across multiple sites and programs. For your assigned component, you will interface with Engineering, Business Operations, and Program Management and will brief senior management. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing a compliant Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) which will reflect the accurate and detailed contractual scope and resources to execute the program. To be successful you will need to be a self‑motivated planner who wants to mentor peers, contribute to team training, and work independently and as part of a community of planners, who delivers compliant solutions on time.

Summary of key duties: In this role, you will…

  • Lead development and maintenance of the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) ensuring integration between the Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and the Integrated Master Plan (IMP)
  • Maintain schedule integration between the IMS and the Program Summary Master Schedule (PSMS) and supplemental schedules
  • Lead the preparation, execution, and maintenance of new or existing planning products
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the Earned Value Management System through cost and schedule integration throughout the program lifecycle
  • Identify Critical/Driving Paths, performing probabilistic/deterministic risk analysis, and developing corrective actions
  • Lead planning support to Production Operations and Master Program Scheduler as part of monthly management rhythms; Ensure schedule accuracy
  • Perform schedule integrity checks
  • Generate and deliver IMS reports and metrics
  • Present schedule-related information to internal and external customers
  • Ensure compliance with LM Corporate Program Performance Management and Program Planning policies and practices
  • Supporting proposal submittal and execution schedule development to meet established plans and parameters to include SOW, CWBS, and IMP traces to tasks

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional program planning experience
  • Expert with developing the Integrated Management Plan / Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS) for contract actions and requests for proposals
  • Experienced with DCMA and/or System Description compliant baseline change control practices and adjudicating DCMA Data Driven Metrics
  • Expert with Microsoft Project, Open Plan or comparable scheduling tool and Schedule Risk Assessments (Monte Carlo simulations)
  • Expert with depicting and explain with authority, program schedule or network paths, as a Gantt or network chart for an executive level. Full knowledge of how to perform typical schedule integrity checks and critical path analysis
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be a United State citizen and be able to obtain a Top Secret Security clearance
Desired Skills
  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • 4+ years of professional program planning experience
  • Working knowledge of ANSI/EIA - 748 (EVMS Guidelines)
  • Expert with government reviews, internal and external audits and Data Driven Metric compliance requirements and surveillance
  • Expert with resource loaded IMS and baseline change control
  • Expert knowledge of Lockheed Martin Program Performance Management Process
  • Strong influencing and relationship management skills, building an inclusive culture
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective internal relationships
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as part of an integrated team
  • Expert ability to organize planning, cost and CAMs to meet a goal on a tight timeline examples rolling waves, wall walks and what if analysis
  • Self-motivated to continue to learn and evolve your planning “toolbox”, to mentor other planners. Contribute to team “toolbox”, be a part of the teams ongoing training development plan.
  • Ability to complete actions with minimum direction or supervision. Determining independent and compliant solutions to complex problems to meet action deadlines/timeline. Strong sense of follow-up and closure with strict attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience with WBS scheduler, OnePager Pro, Milestones Pro Software or similar Gantt or schedule network tools
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $111400.00 - $206800.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
