Job summary

Arrow International is seeking an Integrated Pressroom Operator to join our 1st or 2nd shift. You will set up and run offset, digital, and flexo presses, ensuring quality and on-time production.

In this hands-on role, you will follow work instructions, calibrate color, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a clean, safe pressroom while collaborating with teammates across shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Background in manufacturing, production, machine operation, printing, or press work preferred.
  • Comfort reading and following both written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Open to overtime and flexible to business needs across 1st and 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor press equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily schedules and work instructions.
  • Translate inputs—work orders, schedules, first articles, database files, ticket tab visuals, written procedures, and verbal direction—into a precise press plan.
  • Handle daily press setup including first transfer and color calibration.
  • Swap out databases, blankets, impression paper, PIP, stocks, and related materials as jobs change.
  • Continuously verify color, registration, and overall print quality throughout each run.
  • Load the correct paper stock by type, size, and color for each job.
  • Clean reservoirs, cylinders, and press components to maintain peak performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise; make adjustments, complete minor repairs, and replace parts when needed.
  • Identify and report equipment problems, defective materials, improper operations, and any quality concerns.
  • Follow up on repairs and communicate ongoing equipment issues to press room management.
  • Minimize waste, spoilage, and printing errors while maintaining production rates and standards.
  • Coordinate job details and production handoffs with team members across shifts.
  • Complete assigned work accurately and on time.
  • Care for tools, equipment, materials, and maintain orderly work areas.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, company policies, and departmental procedures.
  • Keep the pressroom clean, safe, and organized.

On 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) or 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), Monday through Friday, you’ll set up and run modern printing equipment—offset, digital, and flexo—delivering high-quality results that keep our operation moving.
